Interview with YouTube Great Emily Charlotte

In this blog post, I am posting an Interview I did recently with Emily Charlotte with 3 t's from the Gold Coast. Emily is an Australian Beauty, Fashion and Lifestyle Youtube with over 1,000 subscribers and a big following on Twitter with 30.1k followers.
Her videos get over a 150 views and Emily always has incredible thumbnails and the editing of the videos are a stand out.

QUESTIONS:
1. Who
or what made you decide to make a Youtube channel?
I think a lot of things inspired me to start
YouTube... I have always been an extremely creative person and enjoyed having
some sort of creative outlet ever since I can remember. I've always loved art,
music, fashion, beauty and photography, and during high school I discovered my
love for filmmaking.
Then soon after finishing school I created my
YouTube channel as I thought it would be a fantastic creative outlet for me, an
awesome platform to keep a library of videos I was proud of and a great way to
make new friends with similar interests along the way.
2. Who
is your favourite Youtuber?
I
absolutely loooove Zoella (Zoe Sugg), I just think she is 100% my kinda gal;
her sense of humor, vivacious personality and generally, I just think we have a
lot in common and would have an amazing time together. It's seriously
#lifegoals to be her friend!
3. What
are your favourite videos to watch?
I think
my favourite videos to watch change all the time, but at the moment I am really
loving artistic vlog style videos like Sam Evans Life and The Michalaks.
4. What
is your favourite thing about filming?
My
favourite thing about filming is being able to talk, talk, talk and also laugh
at myself when I (very often) get all tongue tied and stuff up my words!! I
prefer to edit over filming, though, as I find it more creatively stimulating
but I do really enjoy filming when I vlog my day or experience as I love
setting up the scenery shots and experimenting with the settings on my
camera.
5. Answer the rest of the sentence: I make youtube
videos because ...........
It is
so satisfying to hit that 'Upload' button after working hours/days/(even weeks,
sometimes) on filming and editing a video. It always gives you such a
confidence boost when you receive positive feedback on something you have
worked hard on and are proud of.
6. I
have watched your youtube videos and love them! What is one thing you always do
before filming?
Aw,
thank you so much! I will always get myself ready and looking presentable (this
usually takes longer than the actual filming itself... Oh dear haha), clean my
teeth and put perfume on (even though the last 2 are probably completely
pointless as the viewers would never even know)! Before filming, it is also
very common for me to lie on my bed and go on my phone and procrastinate the
filming until I actually make myself do it haha!
7.
Where do you find inspiration or get ideas for videos?
Inspiration
can be found anywhere and everywhere. It will vary where I find inspiration for
my videos... Sometimes I will be inspired by other creators and other times the
idea may just come to me in the shower or when I'm trying to get to sleep in
the middle of the night!
8. You
can collab with 3 youtubers, who would they be?
Ah,
such a tough question *quickly scrolls through subscription box*... Honestly I
think it would be awesome to collab with Zoe (obviously), Alfie Deyes and maybe
create some awesome videography style video with Sam Evans.
9. If
you could be friends with a youtuber who would it be?
Haha, I
know this will not come as any surprise at all and as previously stated...
Definitely Zoe! Can you tell I really really love her?!
10.
What is your favourite quote?
I have
lots.... But the one I am especially loving at the moment is something that my
mum always says... "Do something great for yourself everyday". I
think it's a great reminder to keep yourself happy, follow your passions and
live life to the fullest.
