FLAWED

By Cecelia Ahern

AND

The Yearbook Committee

By Sarah Ayoub

About a month ago I entered a competition which was run by Dymocks in Australia - Every Friday they run a comp on their facebook which is known as Freebookfriday! I was super lucky to win and was soooo happy and still am incredibly grateful. I received a book which was The Yearbook Committee by Sarah Ayoub and a signed copy of FLAWED by Cecelia Ahern. I have never ever received or owned a signed copy in my life and to be honest am still in shock about it.
I can honestly say both of these books were amazing, absolutely outstanding - For me, I know a book is incredible when I am thinking of the characters and the book weeks after, it almost feels like you're lost in the world of that book even after finishing it.

I finished both of these books in one day!! I could not put them down and I now have two more authors which I adore and can't wait to get my hands on more of their books.

First I will start with FLAWED -
It has the most amazing cover to start with and the colours go so well together, it is very eye catching. The back reads: Celestine North lives a perfect life. She's a model daughter and sister, she's well-liked by her classmates and teachers, and she's dating the impossibly charming Art Crevan.
But then Celestine encounters a situation in which she makes an instinctive decision. She breaks a rule and now faces life-changing repercussions. She could be imprisoned. She could be branded. She could be found FLAWED.

In this stunning novel, bestselling author Cecelia Ahern depicts a society in which perfection is paramount and mistakes are punished.
And where one young women decides to take a stand that could cost her everything.

Ok, so this book made my happy from the start not only does the main character's name (Celestine) remind me of my beautiful friend Celeste who unfortunately passed away a few years ago but I loved the uniqueness of the names, Celestine and Art. It's catchy right and their names fit them perfectly.

I mean just look at the incredible cover!!!!

I didn't know what to expect when starting this book for the first time but I can honestly say that what makes it amazing and unique and a page turner, it that it is different, it is nothing you would expect and it shows that Cecelia has an amazing mind (I want one like hers) because to come up with something this spectacular literally blows my mind.

This book got to my heart - and by that I mean, I was in all sorts of emotion - at most points throughout this book my eyes were watery haha!! I was so engrossed into this book that time flew by and I found myself in the same position 7 hours later still reading. This book tugged at my heart strings and I genuinely loved it. I would 10/10 read it again. I can't speak highly enough of this book and am definitely going to recommend it to my friends. I also recommend that anyone who sees or reads this, to give this a go - I am counting down the days for the finale of this book coming out on the 30.03.17 and it's name being PERFECT :) So excited!! Wish I didn't have to wait but it will be worth it that's for sure.
I would rate this a 10/10, I can not see any faults with the book, it is written in such a way that is exciting and it flows SO well. I love love love it, I loved the whole story line as it was nothing I have seen or read before and it was honestly so great.
What I loved about it most was it was a perfect book, it had some romance in their ;) and adventures and just crazy times but all in all - you won't be able to put the book down, I promise you that!

Be sure to check out this book and follow Cecelia Ahern on Twitter to keep up to date with new books etc :)

                             --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Second I am doing THE YEARBOOK COMMITTEE -
Ok, so since I started reading when I was as young as I can remember I never really recall reading any books written by Australian authors and a few months ago in the course I am studying at university (Creative writing) a lecturer asked if any of us had read any books by Australian authors and not many had and that is because I guess they are marketed differently and maybe not as much as they should be in Australia. So, I was very happy and excited to be receiving one which is written by someone based in Sydney, Australia and what is great is that the book is based around Sydney and a bit of Melbourne in their but it WAS AMAZING.

The back reads: Five teenagers, five lives, one final year.
The Loner: At school, nobody really notices Matty. But at home, Matty is everything. He's been single-handedly holding things together since his mum's breakdown, and he's never felt so alone.

The school captain: Ryan has it all... or at least he did, until and accident snatched his dreams away. How will he rebuild his life and what does the future hold for him now?

The popular girl: Well, the popular girls bestfriend... cool by association. Tammi's always bowed to peer pressure, but when the expectations become too much to handle, will she finally stand up for herself?

The newcomer: Charlie's just moved interstate and she's determined not to fit in. She's just biding her time until year 12 is over and she can head back to her real life and  her real friends...

The MP'S daughter: Gillian's dad is one of the most recognisable people in the state and she's learning the hard way that life in the spotlight comes with a very heavy price.

Five unlikely teammates thrust together against their will. Can they find a way to make their final year a memorable one or will their differences tear their world apart?

So again this book really really surprised me and I read it in like 8 hours haha!! I couldn't put it down, it was a page turner and what kept me turning the pagers was to see what will happen next and seeing the different points of view for each character and also the romance of course. It tugged at my heart again and reminded me of past-loves and it made me cry throughout parts of it as did Flawed. Let's be honest most romantic books make me tear up haha.
This book was written sooo well and the cover is really eye catching, I love that it has a chalk board look to it and a camera also on the back, the information for the book is set out different to anything i have seen before but i liked it.
It was a great book, so so amazing and the fact that I know of Sydney and have been there many times before, I could imagine in my head of what it may look like etc. I really enjoyed this book and will most definitely be reading any other books written by Sarah, if I can get my hands on some.

Just look at the cover - sooooo cool right?
The reason I would definitely recommend this to others is the fact that I believe people can relate to it. I mean, I got teary and felt hurt from it because I had someone and a situation in mind and basically the school captain (popular kid) and the newcomer relate to a time in my life and I liked that.
It was great being able to see/read the characters growing throughout the book and the ups and the downs that they go through and the ROMANCE - can not forget the romance.
I mean, any kind of romance whether in school or not is great and fun.
I am making it my mission to read more Australian authors and to find more books that they have written as it is good to support them and also after reading The Yearbook Committee, I believe now that there are book out there written by Australian authors who write books that are page turners and not boring.
This book proved me wrong and I really enjoyed it. I would read this book again and I would give it a 10/10. There is nothing at all that I disagree with or didn't like and I wasn't sure if this book would be too teenager ish for me but it was sooo good and I personally think any young adult can give it a go too, i don't believe it is just aimed for one age group.
I totally adore this book!

Be sure to check out Sarah Ayoub!!!
