Bam Bam Bakehouse
Bam Bam Bakehouse, a new, funky, urban cafe located in Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast Australia. 'Where patisserie meets bistro', as said on the company website. Located near Mermaid Beach, is Bam Bam. Bam Bam was opened a few months ago by the owners of another funky cafe called 'Paddock Bakery'.
My mum and I, went to Bam Bam for lunch today for some girl time. The atmosphere was great, it had a good vibe and is designed very urban like.
While there menu was simple, it contains a lot of meals and food that sounds very delicious.
The atmosphere as said before, was very welcoming and nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
There was also heaps of bunches of flowers lined up on a table against a wall, in which we found out later were actually for sale. It was a good touch to have and definitely looked the part against a brick wall.
Okay, now we will move on to the food and dessert!!
It is hard to pick what to get, as there is a lot of yummy food to get on the menu. The price is okay. I wouldn't say it is cheap because it definitely isn't.
The dessert are very good for its prices but the meals are around $15-20 Australia dollars.
My mum ordered the - Pulled Pork Sandwich, which was about $14 dollars and it contained the following -
Hickory smoked pulled pork, green apple & fennel slaw, hoisin barbecue sauce, toasted brioche roll.
IT WAS DELICIOUS! (I had to have a bite to taste it)
I would recommend trying this sandwich!!
I ordered the - House Salad, which was about $9 dollars and it contained -
Fresh rocket, shaved pecorino pear, toasted hazelnuts & house vinaigrette.
I ordered it with chicken, which was an extra $4 but I wanted to make it an actual meal. The chicken came on skewers and was very tasty it also came with a little pot of satay sauce to dip in on the side.
The salad it self was okay, the ingredients and food in it, did taste good together, the only thing I didn't like was the dressing. It did say house vinaigrette, so everyone's taste is different. It was just a bit to sour for me and didn't have any vinaigrette taste, however - maybe that was just mine.
I didn't finish it because I could not stand the sour taste and after eating the chicken, I used the left over satay sauce to use as a dressing on the salad to make it bearable to eat.
THEN CAME THE DESSERTS!!!!
I ordered the - Choux Bomb (I think that's how you spell it and my mum got the s'more pot)
I got it as a take away to eat at home. This was INCREDIBLE and was only $5 dollars :O
It was a caramelised white chocolate choux bomb!! It was amazing!! Would get this again for sure!
My mum got - S'more pot -
It had -Graham cracker crumbs, chocolate mousse,
gooey salted caramel centre and toasted marshmallow!!
IT WAS AMAZING!!! I CAN NOT RATE THE DESSERT HIGHLY ENOUGH!!
The price and the taste, everything about the desserts were incredible.
With all that being said, you should check it out for yourself if you are around the area :)
Thanks, Natalia
