I have recently found this awesome as site for Bloggers and and posting this to let you guys know that you can follow my blog with Bloglovin, it is a great site which also lets you see many other Bloggers to follow! Which I will be on the hunt for all night now!!
I'm sorry for not posting in a few months, I have been focusing on all things life - looking for work, focusing on University & assignments & life in general.
Throughout the down days and disappointments of not getting many interviews or responses back from jobs I have applied too, there HAS been some Great days. From seeing my friends, taking photos, to writing, to reading, to watching great tv shows and something very exciting is happening soon AND I FEEL SUPER HAPPY!
Though - I do not want to jinx it!!!!!
I will be telling people/posting about it around mid May, that is because I want to see for myself first :) sorry!
This exciting thing that is going to happen, has inspired me and given me something super exciting to look forward to. Never in a million years, I did not ever think this could happen and I am still to this day blown away.
I also have been having ideas regarding the blog and how I can make it more exciting and different/unique and special. If any of you out there in the world, are into photography and take sick pictures, have published a book or want to, design clothes or design absolutely anything - then I want to talk to you, hear from you!! SO EMAIL ME!
My email is on my blog page and basically I am wanting to share everyone's stuff on my blog/ to get the word out there for them and too interview them in the hope that it might inspire others and help people but also being interesting to where other people around the world will love reading it.
As for writing, I haven't written anything in a few months..I have written in my journal etc though have not written more on the story I started. I need a good book to get me back into being addicted and engrossed into reading, though for that I need money - when I get it, you bet I am buying 5 or more books to add to the never ending collection :) Through thinking about life and what my career might be, what I am interested in and what I would like to do - It's a life decision, you have to think about it.
I realised I want to do something in writing. Whether it be having a sick ass blog, writing articles for magazines or newspapers, to being an author, to WRITING ANYTHING. That its what I want to do! When people ask what I am studying etc/ And I tell them, explain what it is exactly because let's face it, NO ONE UNDERSTANDS 100% because they are not doing it and that means explaining it to EVERYONE aha!!
SO ANYWAY - when ever I have spoken about studying an Associate Degree In Creative Writing, people have said ' It seems as though you love it" 'I can see that you love it' -- JUST FROM ME EXPLAINING AND MY FACIAL EXPRESSIONS??? crazy hey! Though I guess that is what it is like when you are passionate about something.
Just yesterday some guy called me from a site where you find jobs being posted etc and I said what I am studying etc and some how, he noticed that I am passionate about it and love it, over the phone??I didn't even notice that it was noticeable haha yet alone over the phone!
This may be a lot, though guys - please please please - Leave a comment or send me an email, I would love to chat to you guys and see how you are going.
Throughout life people do change as do people's lives, for example: getting a new job, changing careers, being single, being in a relationship, making new friends, enjoying reading, getting your licence, starting universtiy, changing a course, watching a new tv show etc etc.
So you get the point!
Change, no matter in what form, happens probably every day in our lives though usually the small things we don't take as much notice of!
Recently, I have changed a lot about my life though I know it is for the better and that I am better off and way way happier and can be the person I am, without being around people that you feel like you have to walk on egg shells with and doing a course at university that may not particularly suit or be you.
So doing something that makes you happy. Changing something in your life to make you happy. DO IT! I don't regret it one bit and what is surprising is I am excited to wake up every morning and study, I am excited to do more driving etc.
It's the little things but it makes a big difference.
We all obviously have to make a change in our life at some point.
Everyone, different things - different times in peoples lives.
As some of you reader's may know I started a YouTube channel, thought I didn't make videos in a few months because I wasn't sure where I wanted it to go and what content I wanted to upload. I realised that I love photography and I also love the raw videos that express life and show people the amazing views and nature around us, kind of like the arty videos.
I filmed one once just for fun, and I really really enjoyed filming it and editing it, it was probably the one video that I treasured on Youtube and I plan to make more like that :)
I changed courses at university which I believe was mentioned in a different post and I'm so so hapyp guys!
DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY!
Obviously you have to do both, one serious thing and one fun thing like a hobby.
If you do something at uni that will not really give you a job straight away after then it is probably good to try and get a job, as I am.
I REALLY WANT A JOB!
It's getting to the point where I wanna make massive signs and stick them to traffic lights and signs with sticky tape and with my name and number written in capital letters with bright colours for everyone to see.
It's so hard for many people to get jobs these days, but I REALLY WANT ONE! My life would be better off and I could make new friends and have money and can maybe finally buy the camera I have wanted for probably 5 years or more.
I did a silly thing you see.
4 years ago when I went to get a camera, thinking it was a DSLR, then getting told by my brother a few months ago that it is just a digital camera - IDIOT!!!
I didn't know much about cameras back then though I really enjoyed photography and I don't think the passion for it will ever leave me.
BUT I really want a job so i can finally buy the camera I want, so I can help out with payments with my mum more and buy her random gifts.
Life is a weird thing and people notice/ see things before others do but I think that is okay because it is you growing up and you learning.
Like seriously guys, the last month has been WEIRD but also great. I have realised SO MUCH and life is good.
You know, at new years, I was like you know - this year is going to be great, not going to be sad, not going to have any drama, etc etc
However, its just apart of life - a year it pretty long right and by the end of the year or middle you usually forget what happened at the start but every day, is the start of something new and you can improve anything you want whenever you want.
I remember thinking, that I don't remember having a bad year before a few years ago, I only remember that the whole year was good. BUT it most likely wasn't.
I feel more motivated now then ever to get my life on track, to get my licence etc. I think it is because I have a supportive friend and parent, not a parent who says so much and causes so much drama, which kinda puts your mind in a bad place where you dont feel confident, comfortable or brave enough to go for what you want.
Now I do and I COULDN'T BE MORE GRATEFUL FOR A LOVING PARENT!
I always got embarrassed when people asked about my licence, because where I live, most people go for them at 16 (when you legally can) and but we are all different people, and I heard once that we are ready for different things at different stages and I 100% agree with that.
I went at 16 without studying or reading the book or taking the tests as people said it was easy and I thought as a 16 yr old would that I would pass.
I didn't.
Then a few years passed and then an old best friend of mine passed away in a car accident and it affected me more than I could ever express. I was scared and frightened to go in a car, to drive to be in charge of a car.
In 2013, I got my L's though only started really in 2014 and then things kept going wrong in my life that my mindset would change dramatically and I felt nervous to drive and didn't cause of the mindset.
It is now 2016, but my licence card is still valid and I am aiming to get it before my birthday!
I am confident, comfortable and happy now and have a great support team!
One thing I need to learn is that no matter how hard life can be, I need to switch off from it when driving because I need to focus on the road and what I am doing.
I am not embarrassed any more because I am ready now..
and everyone goes through different events and tough times throughout there lives.
And our parents for goodness sake, have so much on their minds and drive everyday literally.
I don't really know what the whole point of this is, I guess that CHANGE IS OK and YOU SHOULD TAKE THE LEAP, IT MAY EVEN SURPRISE YOU! :)
Please please leave a comment if you'd like and I will reply :)
It all started in high school.. I met this guy, I became friend with him, we spoke a lot, we got along, we spoke on the phone, we texted, we were good friends.
We liked each other, it was great.
Well I liked him anyway, I don't know if he was telling the truth, but I was.
At the time, I liked him for him. I truly did, looks didn't matter, it didn't occur to me back then. I just liked him!
We had a school camp coming up in year 11 and I was not going to attend, because for 1. we would have to camp out for one night after walking to get there for a few hours. 2. The day, I would get home from camp, I would be in the car for 10 or so hours, on the way to Sydney.
3. It was a bittersweet time of the year, with my grandpa passing and the reason for Sydney, was for his funeral....
The reason I considered going to camp and ended up going, was because he asked me to come. I wanted to spend time with him, you know - have fun with our friends, chat.
Camp turned out to be great fun and I had my bestest friends in the tent with me and was in a cabin with my closest friends. I am grateful now that I went.
I get shy talking to guys, it is just who I am and it sucks. I'm a shy person.
Once, I finally got the courage to go and talk to him, I did....though, it was pretty much saved by the bell for him as everyone got told to go inside and what they had planned, was now ready...so that was the end.
I was disappointed about, not getting to talk to him after finally getting confidence to do so. Oh, did I mention one of my friends, told me the night before camp that she 'likes him too'!!!!! BEFORE CAMP!
Anyways, I am getting to the point :)
One night at the camp, I cried. I cried because of him. He didn't intentionally do something but I was at camp, I wanted to talk to him, my good friend liked him also and it was hard.
I remember, sitting down after dinner with everyone, some still eating, some finished and sitting at the tables in the hall.
I guess in a way, I was trying to get his attention, without actually getting his attention. I thought he would come sit and talk....What a joke that was.
Don't get me wrong, he isn't a bad guy. He is pretty great.
So, he never came to sit and talk...maybe he was trying to avoid me, I don't know. Though, I found myself crying in the bathroom and my friends being there for me. Thinking about it now, I guess that was the day - he didn't like me, even if it did or didn't in the first place, who know's...I can't say.
The title of this is called 'Time of the day' for the reason being that, I Natalia am still caught up..He is hard to forget about and I guess I am the kind of person who cherishes memories and the good times. However, sometimes I wish I could forget, I wish I could forget the phone call I once had with him that lasted all night. It's hard.
Now that I am out of school, I never really thought about how things would be.
Though, I still see his name there...on my facebook chat and I feel stupid, every time.
Why do us as humans, wait, want people who don't necessarily give us the time of the day?
Why do we, want to talk to them in the first place when there are other people who will talk to you?
I know we all have our reasons and people have reasons on why they don't use social media much, I get it, I do.
I just feel stupid..
Because 5 years later.... I still think of him, I can't get him out of my heart (Not really in a 'I like you way' In a way that he will always mean something to me, I can't forget about the memories and I honestly do try to 'not' talk to him because I know that, I maybe shouldn't waste my time on talking to someone who doesn't spend time wanting or talking to me.
I know I say and think all of that, but I still, think he is a great guy and sometimes, I want to slap myself in the face for it. I know better but there is just something.
The other week, I asked my friend - why we can't stop talking to these people in our lives etc? I mean, surely everyone experiences it?
and my friend, didn't know. Does anyone know? Does it happen to people of a regular basis?
Moral of the story is, it is okay to treasure the memories you have with people because it happened. It is okay to still feel the way you feel about people who you maybe shouldn't be doing or if you know you are better then that. It is okay!
We all go through it in life and all we can do, is be yourself, love yourself and to know you deserve better even if you still want this person in your life as a friend. I mean, it sucks seeing him online and wanting to talk but also knowing he probably isn't feeling the same way and maybe doesn't want to talk to you.
It also is okay to feel stupid. I mean, one day they will be out of your life and you will have to accept, that what was once a thing, isn't now and that people change, no matter how much we want the situation to stay the same.
As for the guy, I dont think I can forget about him, I don't like like him. I consider him a friend but I do like the memories. I do like when we talk but no one can force someone to talk to them.
At the end of the day, I will always care for him and I can't help it but I know, who I am and who I am worthy of.
You are worthy of people too!
You are worthy of a great life!
You are worthy of being loved!
You are worthy of being you!
Okay, I don't know where this was really going but I needed to let it out and to encourage people that it is okay to cherish the memories and there is nothing wrong with it.
Bam Bam Bakehouse, a new, funky, urban cafe located in Mermaid Beach, Gold Coast Australia. 'Where patisserie meets bistro', as said on the company website. Located near Mermaid Beach, is Bam Bam. Bam Bam was opened a few months ago by the owners of another funky cafe called 'Paddock Bakery'.
My mum and I, went to Bam Bam for lunch today for some girl time. The atmosphere was great, it had a good vibe and is designed very urban like.
While there menu was simple, it contains a lot of meals and food that sounds very delicious.
The atmosphere as said before, was very welcoming and nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
There was also heaps of bunches of flowers lined up on a table against a wall, in which we found out later were actually for sale. It was a good touch to have and definitely looked the part against a brick wall.
Okay, now we will move on to the food and dessert!!
It is hard to pick what to get, as there is a lot of yummy food to get on the menu. The price is okay. I wouldn't say it is cheap because it definitely isn't.
The dessert are very good for its prices but the meals are around $15-20 Australia dollars.
My mum ordered the - Pulled Pork Sandwich, which was about $14 dollars and it contained the following -
Hickory smoked pulled pork, green apple & fennel slaw, hoisin barbecue sauce, toasted brioche roll.
IT WAS DELICIOUS! (I had to have a bite to taste it)
I would recommend trying this sandwich!!
I ordered the - House Salad, which was about $9 dollars and it contained -
Fresh rocket, shaved pecorino pear, toasted hazelnuts & house vinaigrette.
I ordered it with chicken, which was an extra $4 but I wanted to make it an actual meal. The chicken came on skewers and was very tasty it also came with a little pot of satay sauce to dip in on the side.
The salad it self was okay, the ingredients and food in it, did taste good together, the only thing I didn't like was the dressing. It did say house vinaigrette, so everyone's taste is different. It was just a bit to sour for me and didn't have any vinaigrette taste, however - maybe that was just mine.
I didn't finish it because I could not stand the sour taste and after eating the chicken, I used the left over satay sauce to use as a dressing on the salad to make it bearable to eat.
THEN CAME THE DESSERTS!!!!
I ordered the - Choux Bomb (I think that's how you spell it and my mum got the s'more pot)
I got it as a take away to eat at home. This was INCREDIBLE and was only $5 dollars :O
It was a caramelised white chocolate choux bomb!! It was amazing!! Would get this again for sure!
My mum got - S'more pot -
It had -Graham cracker crumbs, chocolate mousse,
gooey salted caramel centre and toasted marshmallow!!
IT WAS AMAZING!!! I CAN NOT RATE THE DESSERT HIGHLY ENOUGH!!
The price and the taste, everything about the desserts were incredible.
With all that being said, you should check it out for yourself if you are around the area :)
This title may not make sense to you at the moment but after I have written this blog post, it might make more sense :)
So we grow up, we complete 12/13 years of schooling, we take the normal classes, maths, english, home ec and physical education...and then there is the classes and subjects of our choice.
Choices that could potentially shape the way our future and career looks. A choice that is made while entering into the real world.
So, in school most of us think we know what life is, but in reality we are still learning about life and the way things work.
Coming up to your 20's, you get asked about life a lot. What are you doing? Are you working? Are you at universtiy? What are you studying?
These questions become a common thing and at times can be quite confronting in the sense that we are all different people, all unique and not everyone is going to do the same thing.
Not everyone is going to study to become a lawyer, other people have a passion for photography....We are all different.
So, we are still learning about life and it's amazing wonders, we are seeing first hand what careers are becoming available and careers being made. Looking back 10-15 years ago, some of the jobs now wouldn't be around, some of the courses available would not be around...but TODAY - IN THIS DAY AND AGE - they are.
It is 2016.
Lately as I have been on university holidays, I realised I wanted a change of theme, a change of mind, a change of career type, A CHANGE!
I studied a associate degree in Business for a year but as I worked my butt off for a year and tried my absolute hardest, but was not getting the marks I wanted.
It led me to wondering about life and people's journeys. Not everyone is built the same. I truly believe that within people, there are half people who are born with a brain which they are more logical thinkers, they are good at maths, without judging or making a big statement, I personally feel like they are to smarts of the world.
Then there are the other half of people who are creative. Being creative is not a bad thing. If that is you embrace it!! We only life once, it is okay to try different things.
So we have one half of the world who are very smart and are not creative, then the second half who are very creative and are not smart. Don't get me wrong, everyone is smart in their own sense, but I mean smart as in understanding maths, not finding it difficult and just getting it. Same goes with economics and that kind of thing.
It is not a bad thing to be smart or creative, in the end we all make up the world and make the world what it is today.
Think of it this way, without creative people, they may not be movies or shows to watch.
Without smart people, there may not be touch screen phones created, they may not be social media.
You know, we all make the world what it is and if everyone was smart the world would probably be a bitter place.
So, Yeah I am creative, have been my whole life and never really been good at maths. I tried my hardest in a degree of business for a year and couldn't go on any longer, I found a different course/degree that I really was interested in and actually excited for.
So, I took the plunge and applied! When I got offered a position in the course I accepted and pulled out of the other one.
I tried at a business degree, thinking that even if I didn't want to go into that career, that it would be there. But I didn't enjoy it, it was very hard, a struggle, I got stressed out so much (I know that is sometimes apart of university) however, I personally like to be interested in what I am studying, If I am passionate about what I am studying, you can see it and I generally just do better :)
So, with that being said the course I applied for was an associate degree of Creative Writing.
:D
I know, different right? But exciting :) I am excited and can not wait to start. I believe that if you are passionate about something it will show and you will not give up when something bad happens or you get rejected. Before applying I asked my mum for advice, and overall she said it was my decision, and it is my decision. So I applied, it felt amazing and it clicked to me that it is my life, I want to study something I love everything about and see where it takes me.
You see, I haven't yet told my dad about it because I'm a little worried about what he will say because he's always wanted me to study on campus over online..anyways, again it is my decision.
But no matter what he says, I tried my best, I wasn't enjoying it and out of 100, 15 percent is all I would want that as my career.
If I didn't try at all, then that would be a different story. I know parents just care for you and all of that and want you to have a good life. I get that but I also feel that parents do not completely understand the world these days. I mean they were brought up to study and make a career out of what they study, the normal teacher, business person, admin, real estate....etc and that is okay, they don't know any different.
We are in our 20's, we know the amazing opportunities that are out there now and although our elders may not agree or think it may not come to something. We don't know until we try and if you are worried about your career and what you have or want to do, just breathe and take time to really think about it.
My mum has always told me that people change their career about 5 times in their lifetime and it is totally normal...
I tried childcare as a career, got my qualification and even though I love children, childcare was not for me. I tried administration for a business and finance company and got a qualification in business administration and it again, was not for me. I tried a business degree at university and it was not for me, it was to hard and I tried my hardest, that is all you can ever do in life.
Truth is, I don't feel bad for applying for something I enjoy and love doing even in my spare time :) I tried my best and I didn't succeed, but it is okay because it is our life and you have to do what you want. I mean go for it, I get where parents come from, but if it is truly a passion and makes you excited, then go for it.
Honestly, when I saw that there was a course for Creative Writing at university, I was a bit surprised but I always think that if there is a course for it in the world then it is legit and you can truly make something out of this.
I guess, you are never to old to try something new and you should while you have the chance. In a few days, it will have been 4 years since one of my best friends from year 4-7 passed away in a car accident. She was incredible and often I think she was taken away too young but it is also an opportunity to go ahead and do what you want in life. If you have the chance to, why not.
This time of year is always hard for me, I feel sad, down, I don't usually want to talk to people and I don't feel like myself most of the time.
I think when you realise your passion and what gets you excited, then go for it. It is the time to chase your dreams and goals :)
Just a girl who loves writing & reading. I like to photograph things & attempt to write poems that are okay. I don't like societies ways & there is a lot I want to write about. I also hope to get published one day...but hey, we can always hope....right?
